This booklet has been published as a reference to help you  get quick answers to education and democracy questions in Tanzania. It includes answers to about 50 questions from Friends of Education and other citizens. They come from various sources and are about Government policies such as PEDP and SEDP, and about education in general. Included are questions about HakiElimu activities and the Friends of Education Movement.

This booklet, “Voices of Friends of Education,” is a compilation of different quotations from the Friends of Education. Everyone has voiced different opinions in accordance with his/her perception of the living and working conditions of teachers. This booklet is diveded into five sections: teachers’ education, teaching methods, teachers’ living conditions, teachers’ salaries and the quality of education. It also contains some real-life examples of changes brought about by the Friends of Education, in different parts of the country.
